HE,SHE,WE. He,She,We, Verrierdale Queensland, April 19 2010 Join Simone and Washuntara as they create an opportunity to explore our deep connections as women and men. Over the past four years, Australians and Americans have embraced He She We and have enjoyed the ‘privilege’ of really getting to know one another. “You dont grow up until you’ve had your first good belly laugh at yourself,” says Washuntara. However, there are real and increasing problems facing our relationshipworlds. Not far beneath the surface, there often lies a core of misunderstanding and mistrust between men and women. It begins with how we teach our children and manifests in the attitudes and behaviours of our families, our communities, our leaders, and our nations. As facilitators, Washuntara and Simone foster new models of cooperation and leadership between and within the sexes. Their workshops are developed to go beyond past relationship patterns by honouring the strengths and natural wisdom that each gender has to offer. The relationship myths we attempt to live by are opened up and given a good shake out. It’s fun; it can be hard; but above all it’s rewarding. As small and equal numbers best attend gender reconciliation work, spaces at each event are consciously limited. At its heart, He She We (the Privilege) workshop has the philosophy that ordinary women and men possess the caring and capability to share in deeper and more meaningful ways.
